The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region (VNAHSR), one of the state’s largest providers of skilled home health and hospice services, recognized Barbara Goodwin, a phlebotomist, as Clinical Employee of the Quarter and Sherry Townsend, Administrative Assistant as Non-Clinical Employee of the Quarter.
Employees of the Quarter are selected from nominations submitted by peers and acknowledge employees who go above and beyond their typical job duties and best reflect the agency values of honesty, excellence, accountability, teamwork, leadership, and helpfulness.
Clinical Employee of the Quarter Barbara Goodwin was honored for her commitment to excellence and quality patient care. A patient wrote, “She is wonderful! So glad she is on your team. She is magic. She knows what she is doing and always does a great job.”
Non-Clinical Employee of the Quarter Sherry Townsend was recognized for helpfulness and teamwork. In her nomination, Townsend was praised for being the definition of a team player.
“Sherry went out of her way troubleshooting with the installation of her first telehealth unit.” Another wrote, “Sherry is always willing to help whenever I have needed her. Thank you, Sherry, for being such a team player.”
