Pediatric Nursing & Rehab
Pediatric High-Tech Nursing
Children with high tech pediatric nursing needs receive specialized health care services in familiar and nurturing surroundings with love and support from their families.
The VNAHSR High-Tech team is composed of Registered Nurses with specialized training in children and family health. Our skilled staff makes a positive difference in the lives of children and families through compassionate care, family education and support.
Our nursing staff cares for all ages from the tiniest premature infants through end of life care.
We work closely with:
Physicians
Occupational Therapists
Physical Therapists
Speech Therapists
Nutritionists
and many other community resources to provide the seamless health care your child deserves.
A few examples of clients served are those with:
tracheostomies
feeding tubes
ventilators
infusion therapy
We are very lucky that in Vermont we have a Pedi Hi-Tech Program for fragile children. Kids deserve to be in the home surrounded by loving family—it’s so important to their growth and development. I hope this program will continue to be available to all Vermonters. When fragile children are cared for in the home—as opposed to an even more expensive hospital or nursing home—surrounded by familiar people and pets, and the aroma of home-cooked meals, they develop by leaps and bounds.”

Pediatric Rehabilitation
Kids on the Move is a pediatric rehabilitation program dedicated to serving children of all ages with rehabilitation needs, providing physical, occupational and speech-language therapy services to children from birth to 21 years of age. Whether they come to us for developmental delays or genetic disorders, we believe that every child should have access to the highest quality pediatric rehabilitation care they need to thrive and grow.
At Kids on the Move we are committed to providing family-centered care that is based on the individual needs of each child. Working closely with families, schools and other community resources we work to ensure that each child reaches their highest potential.
Founded in 1995, Kids on the Move was created to fill a void that was left in the medical community when pediatric rehabilitation services were eliminated at an area institution. Now a program of the Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of the Southwest Region, Kids on the Move is the only pediatric rehabilitation program within a 60-mile radius of Rutland, Vermont.
Kids on the Move provides therapy in the homes of the families it serves, through six different school districts in and around Rutland County, and via consultative services to clinics held in Brattleboro and Bennington, Vermont.
