RUTLAND, VT – The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region (VNAHSR) has named Nicole L. Moran, MSN, BA, RN as Chief Clinical Operations Officer. She will have system-level responsibility for organizing, planning, directing, and evaluating all clinical services and care delivery models. This includes home health care and hospice and palliative care services. She will play a key role in the agency’s efforts to build an engaged, collaborative culture for nurses and interdisciplinary care teams.
Nicole was previously the Director of Hospice & Palliative Care Services for the VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region.
A graduate of Castleton University in 2004 Nicole began her nursing career at Rutland Regional Medical Center and worked at VNAHSR as a Hospice RN from 2006 to 2007. After receiving her master’s degree in nursing from Sacred Heart University, Nicole returned to the VNAHSR in 2015 in her current role.
An advocate for the health of the community, Nicole is a core member of the Rutland Community Collaborative working with health care partners to improve the overall health of the community. Nicole is a member of the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), the Rutland City Rotary Club and serves as a board member for Girls on the Run Vermont. Nicole was also recognized as one of Vermont Business Magazine’s Class of 2018 Rising Stars.
