Frank G. McDougall, Jr. Named to VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region Board of Directors

RUTLAND, VT (November 5, 2021)

The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region, (VNAHSR), one of the state’s largest providers of skilled home health and hospice services, recently named Frank G. McDougall, Jr. to its volunteer Board of Directors.

McDougall had a 20-year career in Government Relations at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center before retiring in 2017. Before joining the staff at DHMC, Mr. McDougall served as Secretary of Commerce in Vermont serving in the Cabinets of Governors Richard Snelling and Howard Dean.

An active member of his community, Mr. McDougall has served on numerous boards and commissions including the VT State Board of Education, VT Special Olympics, and the VT Symphony Orchestra.  He is a former member of the Government Relations Steering Committee of the American Association of Medical Colleges, and also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the New England Council.  He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, was Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s representative to the Vermont Business Roundtable, and was an active member on the Advisory Board for the NH Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm’s College.

Mr. McDougall’s recognition includes being honored as a “Grassroots Champion” by the American Hospital Association and the President’s Award from the NH Hospital Association for his service to the Association.

Mr. McDougal graduated from Lowell Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received his MBA from Suffolk University. Living in Quechee, VT for 32 years, McDougall moved to Rutland VT with his wife, Deborah. Together they have five children and six grandchildren.
