The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region, (VNAHSR), one of the state’s largest providers of skilled home health and hospice services, recognized Susan Senecal, a Case Manager as Clinical Employee of the Quarter and Michael Delehanty, Facilities Manager as Non-Clinical Employee of the Quarter.
Employees of the Quarter are selected from nominations submitted by peers and acknowledge employees who go above and beyond their typical job duties and best reflect the agency values of honesty, excellence, accountability, teamwork, leadership, and helpfulness.

These heroic caregivers play a central role in our health care system and in homes across the nation.
A Golf Day Fore VNA Benefits Home Health and Hospice Care
The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region raised more than $16,500 at the recent Golf Day Fore VNA hosted at the Mount Anthony Country Club in Bennington. Funds will support the agency’s home care and hospice programs. Last year, the home health and hospice agency served over 3,900 individual patients last year in Bennington and Rutland County and made 116,571 home visits.

The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region, (VNAHSR), one of the state’s largest providers of skilled home health and hospice services, recognized Richard (Rich) Marantz, RN, a Hospice nurse as Clinical Employee of the Quarter and Sharon Cseh, Executive Assistant as Non-Clinical Employee of the Quarter.
“Rich and Sharon exemplify the values that are the hallmark of the VNA,” said Jessica Fredette, Director of Human Resources.
Hospice Social Worker to Exhibit Artwork at Chaffee Art Show
Karyn Hunter, LICSW, a social worker at the VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region, will exhibit her art at the Chaffee Art Center’s 61st Annual Summer Art in the Park Saturday, August 13, from 10 am – 6 pm, and Sunday, August 14, 10 am – 4 pm at Main Street Park at the Junction of Routes 4 & 7 in Rutland.Hunter’s artwork, inspired by her love of nature and exploration, is particularly drawn to sunrises and sunsets as symbolic of her work. “I like to think of sunsets as the sweetest farewells or gifts to our loved ones as we pass onto the next life and sunrises as new births or beginnings,” said Hunter. “I love the contrast of colors that come with both and allow for the use of vibrant colors.”
A Golf Day Fore VNA Benefits Home Health and Hospice Care
The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region invites players to the fifth annual Golf Day Fore VNA, presented by Berkshire Bank on August 19, 2022, at the Mount Anthony Country Club at 180 Country Club Drive in Bennington, VT. The format for the tournament is a four-person scramble and features an on-course BBQ lunch, tee prizes, and raffles. Registration begins at 11:30am with a shotgun start at 1pm.
VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region Partners with Stratton Foundation in Feed the Community Initiative
The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region is pleased to partner with the Stratton Foundation, a community-based non-profit organization caring about the health and welfare of children and families in Southern Vermont. Through the Stratton Foundation’s “Feed the Community” initiative and outreach in times of crisis, the agency received $2000 in gift cards for groceries and gas. The cards will be distributed to patients served in Arlington, Danby, Dorset, Manchester, and Sunderland.

VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region Partners with Pajama Program to Help Children Get Better Sleep
The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region is pleased to partner with Pajama Program, a national nonprofit organization that promotes and supports a comforting bedtime routine and healthy sleep to help children thrive. Pajama Program donated 110 sets of pajamas and age-appropriate books for children who receive nurse home visits in either Strong Families Vermont or Children’s Integrated Services. Both of these programs are part of the agency’s Maternal Child Health division, which provides various services from prenatal education through early childhood.
