Quality Clinical Educator
The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region is seeking a Quality Clinical Educator (QCE). The QCE will be responsible for overseeing the orientation of and ongoing training of clinical staff to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care in an efficient and cost effective manner to patients in a home setting.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees clinical preceptor program and assures clinical competency checklists are current in accordance with homecare standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
- Provides one-on-one orientation and instruction to new clinicians in collaboration with the Clinical Manager. Serves as an in-house consultant to assist clinical teams.
- Assures technical competency by assessing learning needs, coordinating learning opportunities, and evaluating the effect of training and education on practice in conjunction with the preceptor and Clinical Manager.
- Effectively designs learning experiences and patient care assignments for new staff and current staff as necessary.
- Performs home visits with clinical staff as requested by preceptors or Clinical Manager to educate on clinical practice and/or documentation.
- Performs chart audits and provides education and/or recommendations based on trending to Clinical
- Organizes, schedules, and manages on-going clinical education/in-services to include, but not be limited to in-service calendars, LNA in-services.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
- Two years home care experience and/or previous case management experience in a home care setting required. Prior clinical acute care nursing experience a plus.
- Experience teaching adults in a clinical setting preferred
