VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region Announces Employees of the Quarter

VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region, (VNAHSR), one of the state’s largest non-profit providers of skilled home health and hospice services, is proud to announce the recognition of two extraordinary employees of the quarter – Christine Mendoza, Clinical Employee of the Quarter, and Mary Pleasant, Non-Clinical Employee of the Quarter.

Employees of the Quarter are selected from nominations submitted by peers and acknowledge employees who go above and beyond their typical job duties, and best reflect the agency’s values of honesty, excellence, accountability, teamwork, leadership, and helpfulness (HEALTH).

Clinical Employee of the Quarter Mendoza was honored for her dedication to her patients, consistently going above and beyond to ensure they get the vital care they need. “[Patients] are always raving about Christine’s care and how incredible she is. She always keeps her head down working hard, helping her team!!” said a co-worker. “I could have checked every box for the core values she demonstrates every day.”

Non-Clinical Employee of the Quarter

Non-Clinical Employee of the Quarter Pleasant was recognized for her helpfulness and leadership. “Without Mary, I never would have been able to successfully do my job as bereavement coordinator. Mary held the bar high, kept me on my toes, and was always available to help me,” explained a co-worker.
