The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region, with offices in Rutland, Bennington and Dorset, has been named to the Top 100 of the 2016 HomeCare Elite®, a recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States. Winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best practice (process measure) implementation, patient experience (Home Health CAHPS®), quality improvement and consistency, and financial performance.
Dancing with the Rutland Stars, Season 6, was a sold-out event that raised nearly $36,000 for VNAHSR’s Kids on the Move and Pediatric High-Tech programs. This event is held annually in October at the beautiful Paramount Theatre in downtown Rutland.
Bella Notte, A Beautiful Night for Giving, was held at the Southside Steakhouse in
September. This fundraiser for the Hospice program raised more than $57,000.
Our annual series of three successful golf tournaments raised over $60,000 for the Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of the Southwest Region.
The VNAHSR is pleased to announce that Ann Pollock, RN, BSN, COS-C, HCS-D, recently passed the Home Care Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS–D) exam through the Board of Medical Specialty Coding & Compliance (BMSC), the credentialing arm of the Association of Home Care Coding & Compliance (AHCC). Congratulations!
In May, the 24th Annual VSMC 5K raised more than $6,500 for VNAHSR’s Kids on the Move and Pediatric High Tech programs as well as Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sport.
The Martin Devlin Memorial Fun Run held in July in Poultney raised more than $2,500 for the Hospice program. This event is held in memory of Martin Devlin, a long-time running enthusiast.
We’d like to congratulate Kate Lawrence, MSN, RN, CWOCN, on being selected by agency staff as Employee of the Year! Kate has been involved with VNAHSR services for nearly 20 years and has been an employee of the agency for three. Congratulations, Kate!
A good time was had by all who attended the first annual Bowling for VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region, Bennington fundraiser. This event raised more than $1,100 for Hospice services. Thanks to Bennington Lanes, and all who came out to support this event.
